Sasa Complex- The Arched Building
Project Detail
The Sasa complex is the building representing the history of the place and its location name (New Road). The commercial value of the building is enhanced by the transparent glasses giving visual access through roads and other buildings. The bricks and arches are the design representing the local vibe of the place. The combination of the glass, bricks, and arches complements the name of the location as well as the history of the location.
Being a mixed building of commercial as well as an office building the glazed exterior walls maximize the daylighting and views outside. Transparent glasses used on the ground, first, and second floors assist in the display of material for shops from the building to the outside. The glazed glasses block the view from outside and give visual access from inside of the building, giving security to the office areas situated on the upper floors.
The top terrace is used as the rooftop restaurant which is complemented by the continuation of arches giving balance to the function as well as the facade of the whole design of the building. The restaurant has open and semi-open spaces to protect from the rain as well as feel the cold wind from the hills.
